Giga Chikadze’s rise to the top of the featherweight division hit a sudden roadblock Saturday when he lost to Calvin Kattar in the UFC on ESPN 32 main event.

After putting together a strong winning streak to begin his octagon tenure, Chikadze (14-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) was battered by Kattar (23-5 MMA, 7-3 UFC) over the course of five rounds for a unanimous decision defeat at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

It’s now back to the drawing board for Chikadze, who will need some time off to recover after taking plenty of damage.
